Paediatric Occupational Therapy
What clinical areas can we support?
Our paediatric occupational therapist works with children across a wide range of needs, providing assessments and therapy tailored to each child.
Programmes
Treatment Block Programmes
Treatment at OTKids is delivered in blocks of sessions rather than one-off appointments — giving your child consistency and the time needed to make real progress towards their goals. Parents can also add on a programme to their block, provided mid-to-end of the block. This includes tailored ideas and activities to try at home, helping your child work towards their goals between sessions, alongside clear progress monitoring so you can see exactly how far they've come.
Programmes are charged at £120 per hour.
Treatment Sessions
What Happens in a Treatment Session?
At OTKids, therapy doesn't look like therapy — and that's exactly the point. Sessions are 45 minutes, which we've found to be the sweet spot for keeping children engaged and getting the most out of every visit. They're built around play, because play is how children learn, grow and thrive. Your child will be having so much fun they won't even realise they're developing their skills!
Sensory & Strength Work
We build resistance and muscle strength through play — think a whole kilo of slime! Messy, brilliant, and incredibly effective for developing the strength and sensory processing children need.
Handwriting Through Underlying Skills
Rather than just practising letters, we work on the foundations — chalk pens on tables, salt trays, playdoh, and smell pens to engage the senses and build the motor patterns that make handwriting feel natural.
Fine Motor Skills
Lego builds, jewellery making, threading and construction activities all target the precise hand and finger control children need for school and everyday life.
Planning & Executive Functioning
We target planning, sequencing and problem-solving through designing games, playing life-size Tetris, Kerplunk and all sorts of creative challenges that get children thinking, strategising and having a brilliant time.
Don't Worry About Teens!
We cater for them too. Whether it's a selection of card games, logic puzzles, life skills, money practice at the ice cream shop or something else entirely — we've got teens covered.
We also bring a little tech into the mix — because the best therapy toolkit uses every tool available!
Every session is tailored to your child's individual goals, interests and needs. No two sessions are the same.
Specialist Areas
PDA-Informed Approach
OTKids uses a PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) informed approach throughout our work. We understand that for some children, traditional directive therapy can feel overwhelming. Our sessions are flexible, low-demand and child-led — working with your child's needs rather than against them.

We warmly welcome enquiries from families and local authorities regarding Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) packages. OTKids can provide occupational therapy as part of an EOTAS provision, supporting children who are unable to attend a school setting.
